SOLD | Oh Wise One II | 48” x 30”48 x 30 ready to hang mixed media on birch with gold + silver leaf on antique book pages Inspired by the owl family in my neighborhood, this work is painted on antique book pages where the information emerges quietly as you take in the quiet presence of the painting. Mixed media on antique book pages with gold & silver leaf. Ready to hang with edges finished with gold leaf.

After returning to home and studio I have enjoyed fleshing out the simple drawings into a series of paintings that encompass the physical and spiritual experience - sharing how it felt to be there

but also when they dry

starry skies and the peculiar beauty of nature (hello manatees)

& symbolic crystals are embedded throughout the paintings

what unfolded was an expanse of golden wheat and swaying poppies as far as the eye could see

Belonging | 60” x 60” | Ready to hang

this work carries the energy of stillness & wisdom and also personality & presence

These cafeteras have been in my sketchbook for years and it’s been bliss to carve them out of silver & gold leaf on birch with copper rivets that are the pearls of the paintings

Ready to hang with edges finished with gold leaf

descending into a sun drenched poppy field reminds you of how unexpected + magnificent life can be

In this collection I focus on the majestic poppy fields of my walk through Spain

My sanctuary within this era of change - that of rebuilding our lives in a new country and culture - became the natural world
