Acorn Stud Earrings Medium - Nature Jewellery UKAcorn stud earrings (medium). Handmade in Sterling silver the lovely 12mm (0. 5 inches) acorn cup is heavily inscribed and deeply oxidised. I use a wide stud to support the back making the earrings sit well. As a choice I gold plate the inside of the acorn as it remind me of the hue when the acorn first drops out and the cup is a golden brown or oxidised for a darker feel. I handmake each section reticulating the Sterling silver to make them look like twigs before I assemble the piece and solder on my acorn cups
