Vertex Dirty Dozen WWW Army Issue Wristwatch Matching NumbersThe Watch . W. W. W referred to as Wrist Watch Waterproof. . In WW2, under increasing pressure from the Germans, the MoD needed to kit out their Troops with a Wristwatch that would stand the harsh realities of War. . The MoD put out specifications for this Wristwatch, that many Swiss Companies answered, the MoD whittled this down to 12 Companies hence the term "Dirty Dozen". These needed to be accurate, reliable and durable, which in watchmaking terms

you can set the date by Turning the Crown to the right and then you can set your desired day by turning the Crown to the left

These Nuclear Submarine Lemania's were produced in incredibly low numbers

very difficult to find with Vertex

even if the case is not

the War Department changed the specification for these Wristwatches from Steel Cases to a cheaper alternative in chrome plated Duralim mid cases

the lume is beautiful
