The little burst of russet against all that black line work gives a quiet room something to look at without shouting. Hang it where you walk past often a hallway, the top of the stairs, the wall behind a reading chair and the room stops feeling flat. It picks up oak, walnut, aged leather and linen, and it gets on well with old books, brass handles and a worn rug. Don't put it next to anything
